Half-marathon training
Week one, day two
Today, my schedule said to run one mile. My running coach said that if we were already running, we should keep up our old mileage until the schedule catches up with us. So I ran the 2.5 miles I always run. Which was awesome, because it made me feel like an over-achiever.
Where I would LOVE to be an over-achiever is in fundraising. I’m required to raise a certain amount to stay on the team ($3000). Honestly, I intend to blow that away. But I have to admit I’m a little worried about it. I’m far from a natural fundraiser or salesperson. I was the kid who showed up at your door in a Girl Scout uniform and said, “you probably don’t want any cookies, do you?”
As y’all know, this race is way more important than summer camp, as much as I love camping. So, I’m asking for your help. (Bubble up, Liz.) Please go to my fundraising page athttp://pages.teamintraining.org/ntx/wdw13/estepp and make a donation. I know not everyone can give $50 or $100 (thanks, Mom, Dad, and Carol!) Maybe you can give $25 or $10. Heck, even if you can give $5, that would be awesome.
See, I don’t just want to raise a lot of money for LLS. I also want to have a lot of donors to represent the many people Angi touched in her lifetime. With all of that support behind me and Bubbles above me, how can I not fly across the finish line?
