Half-marathon training
Week ten, day two
Six miles last night with the Tuesday night running group. We started behind On the Border on Knox, ran all the way down the Katy trail to the parking garage by the AA center and back again. I’m the slowest runner in that group but luckily Coach Joe came back and finished with me, because the trail got really empty on the way back! I guess everyone went home to watch the debate. The only bad part about running with Coach Joe is that you get to listen to all of his bad jokes. Still, six miles on a Tuesday night led to a great night’s sleep last night!
Fundraising is still moving right along. I can barely keep the chocolate bars in stock that I’ve been selling at work (luckily, because I have bought a couple for myself already, which I definitely do not need!). Also, I think Tony and I will be volunteering at the Glow Run in Las Colinas on November 17. If you want to come out and run/walk a 5K for LLS, let me know and I’ll send you the info!
I’m still trying to hit that first fundraising goal, and every little bit helps!
